The font looks interesting...
I love using Inkscape too. It is very good to do some vector work. But for font work it is not well equipped, sadly.
An alternative for fontwork is FontForge but it has no nice userinterface and GUI like Inkscape and the handling isn't easy too. It need a big cygwin installation with x-Windows but have very good features for manipulating font specific parameters and lineart.
alternatively we only have expensive commercial software to choose from
